Author Workshop with Dan Smith
To celebrate the opening of the NEW South Street School Library, we had local author Dan Smith visit the school to open the library and to deliver some workshops with the children. In Year 6 we looked at how to build suspense in horror stories (we weren't scared - honestly!).
Dan showed us some of the techniques he uses in his writing to build tension for the reader, and encouraged us to have a go when we try our own story writing.
