The children on 1/2MC and RePS went to Gateshead Schools Dance Festival at the Sage Gateshead today.

After a very exciting trip down to the Sage in a golden double decker bus (!), we were escorted in and had our own seats. It was very exciting looking out for our grown-ups in the audience while we were waiting for the show to start.

The compere made us feel very special as he said that we were part of more than 2000 children taking to the stage over the two day event. And after some fabulous songs from the very talented Channy Thompson, the show started!

We were dazzled with the wide array of costumes from the other schools, we clapped our hands to the groovy tunes and generally had a good time. 

When it was our turn, the children looked amazing in their tie-dye teeshirts and danced their little legs off with great passion and enthusiasm.

We had an absolutely amazing time and we can't wait to do it all again next year!
