The children of years 1 and 2 were treated to a visit from Northumbria Police this afternoon.

The officers were very impressed with the children who knew about how to stay safe on the road, and what to do if they get lost in shops.

We talked about "bad strangers" who don't always look bad and scary, and good strangers that can help us, like the police, or shop keepers if we are lost.

The children had the chance to sit in the police car and found out that the back doors lock when closed! Thankfully, they were all let out at home-time for good behaviour!
