On Thursday 2nd March 2023 we celebrated our love of reading by all getting dressed up as one of our favourite book characters. We enjoyed a whole school assembly where we shared our favourite stories and where we enjoyed reading. Our English Ambassadors carried out a quiz where we had to guess which story the line they read out was from. 

Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 had some special visitors from Gateshead Library (Hermione Granger and an Octopus!) and they listened to some stories and wrote some funny poems. 

Our English Ambassadors became our 'Secret Readers' and they read stories to other classes in the school which the children really enjoyed.
