The Very Best We Can Be

Stone Age Archaeology at Seaham Beach

In History, we are currently studying the Stone Age. We have been looking at how Stone Age people would have lived, including how we know this information. We have also looked at home humans changed their lifestyles throughout the Stone Age - going from hunter-gatherers (Mesolithic Era) to farmers (Neolithic Era).

At Seaham Beach, we were discussing how people in the Stone Age may have lived. We created our own cave drawings using stones, made flint tools, created model Stone Age villages and had a try at fire-lighting (quite unsuccessfully!). Finally, he tried to find interesting stones with holes in so that we could make some Stone Age jewellery.
